Director of STC's Foreign Affairs Meets with Regional Adviser of Berghof Organization

Dr. Saleh Al-Hajj, Director of the General Directorate of Foreign Affairs (GDFA) of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), met on Monday in the capital, Aden, with the senior adviser for regional peace support in the Middle East and North Africa at the German "Berghof" Foundation (BF), led by Mrs. Sonja Neuweiler, and the director of the organization's political dialogue support program, Mr. Joshua Rogers.

During the meeting, Dr. Al-Hajj reviewed the latest developments in the comprehensive political process, the international and regional endeavour being made to end the war and establish peace, and positive engagement with whatever would ensure just and sustainable solutions to all issues, foremost of which is the cause of the South as the key to resolving other issues.

The meeting also dealt with the challenges facing the STC in the file of combating terrorism, where Dr. Al-Hajj indicated the STC counts on the international community's support in this file to ensure regional and international security and stability.

For her part, Mrs. Sonja Neuweiler reviewed the upcoming tasks and activities to be held by the organization and the importance of participating in all events and activities organized by the organization.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Anis Al-Sharafi, Deputy Director of GDFA, and Mr. Raafat Al-Alawi, Head of the International Organizations Section in GDFA.
