We applaud our people in Hadramout, who rallied with great momentum in the squares of six of their districts in response to the call of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), coinciding with the onset of the twenty-ninth anniversary of the invasion of the South, and the rejection of all projects aimed at stripping Hadhramaut from its southernness and Yemenizing it.
While expressing our great appreciation for this growing momentum extending from the valleys of Hadramaut to its coasts, hills, and deserts, we strongly condemn the attack by beleaguered armed groups funded by the Muslim Brotherhood on the participants in the peaceful mass events in the city of Seiyun, the downtown of the Valley of Hadramaut, by firing live bullets at the masses, calling on the governor of Hadramaut and the head of the Security Committee in the governorate to do his duty by forming an investigation committee and referring those who carried out and sponsored this criminal attack to the judiciary to receive deterrent punishment.
Indeed, the people of Hadramout, who were proactive in confronting the hordes of invaders in 1994 and the subsequent resistance and liberation movement, are today the same ones who are at the forefront of thwarting attempts to falsify their will and let the whole world hear their voice that has smashed all projects to perpetuate the invasion and improve the conditions of domination and occupation.
