Southern Transitional Council condemns Israeli storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque and targeting Palestinian civilians in occupied Jerusalem

The Southern Transitional Council strongly condemns the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque and targeting of Palestinian civilians in occupied Jerusalem, expressing its strong condemnation and regret for the displacement of families in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood.

The storming of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque represents an unacceptable consecration of the Israeli occupation of East Jerusalem, and a flagrant violation of the rules of international law, including the right of the free Palestinian people to establish their state and their right to practice religious rites, in addition to violating the sanctity of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Southern Transitional Council renews its full and firm stand on the side of the great Palestinian people, stressing the place of the Palestinian cause in the heart of every Arab, and calling on the Arab League and the international community to support reaching a just solution to the Palestinian issue, and on the need to preserve the historical identity of occupied Jerusalem, and to protect civilians from the illegal Israeli targeting.
