High Relief Committee of the Council stresses on implementing measures to counter Corona virus

The Assistant Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, Major General Salem Abdullah Al-Sokatri,  chaired on Tuesday, an emergency meeting of the High Relief Committee, in the presence of Dr. Abdel Nasser Al-Wali, member of the Presidency of the Transitional Council, Deputy Chairman of the Transitional Council's Relief and Humanitarian Affairs Committee, and lawyer Niran Sooki, member of the Presidency the Transitional Council, Vice-Chairman of the National Assembly, and heads of the local leaderships, and heads of relief committees in the governorates of "Lahj - Abyan - Al-Dhali",.

In the meeting, Dr. Al-Wali previewed the emergency plan approved by the committee and the actual steps that were taken to confront the Corona virus "Covid-19" in Aden the capital, and the possibility of implementing this plan in the governorates of Lahj, Abyan, and Al-Dhali '.

The meeting discussed the available capabilities to implement these plans throughout the southern governorates, and its methods and mechanism according to the criteria set for that.

The meeting discussed a number of issues and files, especially those related to the standards and foundations of establishing health quarantine centers in the governorates and healthy and right methods that should be used to protect citizens from this deadly virus.

The meeting stressed on the importance of spreading health awareness among people to avoid infection with the virus, while intensifying these guiding and awareness steps among employees of the military and security forces in all governorates.

The meeting also stressed on the need to strictly implement the precautionary measures taken to counter the virus, and monitor the implementation of the curfew decision issued by the President of the Transitional Council, President Aidaroos Qassem Al-Zubaidi, and take warning and punitive methods against anyone who tries to violate those measures that are all in the interest of the security and safety of the citizens and the homeland.
