The Secretary-General meets political and security leaders from Lawdar district of Abyan

The Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, Ahmed Hamed Lamals, received on Tuesday, in his office in Aden, Mr. Abbas Nasser Alawi Al-Saqqaf, head of the local leadership in Lawdar district in Abyan governorate, and Commander Abdullah Omar Al-Damani, commander of the security belt in the district, and the well-known folk poet, and leader in the southern revolution, Abu Nasr Al-Othali.

The meeting discussed the latest developments in Lawdar at various levels, especially what is related to the security and military aspects, as well as political and societal sides.

The Secretary-General got briefed on the efforts made by local leadership of Transitional Council in Lawdar district through a number of activities, and the results of the process of institutional building and expansion of local leadership, in addition to reviewing the most important difficulties and obstacles facing the local leadership.

The Secretary General also got acquainted on the efforts made by the Security Belt in establishing security and stability in the district.

The Secretary-General praised the efforts made by the local leadership and the leadership of the security belt, stressing that the Transitional Council will work to overcome all obstacles facing them in the next stage.

For their part, Al-Saqqaf, Al-Damani, and Al-Othali asserted that Lawdar district, with its local leadership, and its security belt will remain in the covenant of defending the land of the south, and what have been achieved for the southerners led by the Southern Transitional Council.
