Dr. Al-Khubaji meets with Bulgarian ambassador and discusses situation in the South

Dr. Nasser Al-Khubaji, member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, head of Negotiation Affairs Unit, head of the Transitional Council’s team in the Joint Committee to follow up implementation of Riyadh Agreement, met in the Saudi capital Riyadh, on Saturday, the Bulgarian ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mr. Demeter Abajif, and the consul of the the Bulgarian embassy Vladimir Dorovsky.

The meeting discussed the situation in the South, and the procedures of implementing the Riyadh Agreement, and the role of the Transitional Council in implementing the Agreement.

Dr. Al-Khubaji pointed out to the progress in implementing the Riyadh Agreement, reviewing the obstacles on the way of implementation, praising the role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in resolving and overcoming these obstacles.

Dr.Al-Khubaji noted to the historical relations between the South and the Republic of Bulgaria, pointing out that the Southern Transitional Council seeks to restore those deep relations, hoping that the presence of Bulgaria as member in the European Union will support the people of the South to obtain their rights to achieve their legitimate aspirations to restore their state.

For his part, the Bulgarian Ambassador expressed his happiness for this meeting, stressing that his country supports peace and stability in the region, and follows closely the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement in the South to reach the peaceful path, hoping that peaceful political resolutions will be achieved to end the war in Yemen.
