The Administrative Body of the STC National Assembly Holds its First Meeting in the Capital Aden





  The first meeting of the administrative body of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council was held today at the Council's headquarters in Aden, under the chairmanship of its president Major General Ahmed Said Ben Brik.

  After reciting several verses from the Holy Quran and observing a moment of silence and prayer for the martyrs of the recent incidents made by the so-called the presidential protection in Aden, Maj. Gen. Ahmed Said Ben Brik said at the outset of the meeting that the political side of the Council is moving at a high and rising pace, affirming that the deliberately provocations made by some groups from time to time does not affect the institutional process of the Assembly and the Southern Transitional Council that dealt wisely with the recent incidents in Aden for the supreme interest of the South and for not shedding blood.

  The President of the National Assembly pointed out that the Council is conducting its tasks both internally and externally, affirming that the coming weeks and months will see more successes and developments that meet the aspirations and goals of the great southern people, who are eager to liberate and build an independent federal state on the whole of its national territory with the boundaries of 21 May 1990.
 
  For its part, the administrative body of the National Assembly praised the victories achieved by the southern resistance forces, the security belt, the Elite Forces of Shabwa and Hadramout in the war against terrorism, securing the capital and the southern governorates in addition to its effective participation within the Arab coalition forces in defeating the Iran-backed Houthi militias.

  The administrative body renewed its condemnation of all acts of terrorism and assassinations targeting imams and preachers of mosques, as well as its condemnation of all acts that harm the public tranquility and intimidate peaceful citizens.

  The administrative body of the National Assembly also praised the efforts made by the STC leadership represented by the President Major General Aidross Qasim Al-Zubaidi, in the successes achieved at all levels internally and externally, especially the recent the meeting, which congregated president Aidross Al-Zubaidi and some members of the STC Presidency with the UN special envoy to Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh.

  The first meeting of the administrative body of the National Assembly discussed the topics on its agenda; the road map and the tasks of the National Assembly as well as preparing its plan and budget in the light of the general trends established by the STC Presidency. The meeting reviewed the topics of the next regular sessions to be approved by the members.

  The meeting also reviewed a number of important issues related to the lives of citizens who suffer from difficult living conditions due to the collapse of the local currency, the failure of the corrupt government to pay employees' salaries and escaping the tasks entrusted to it.

  The meeting stressed that the National Assembly is committed to the STC leadership declaration on supporting the people and trade unions demands to remove and take legal action against the corrupt government.
