The Southern Transitional Council Warns the Legitimate Government of an Impending Hunger Revolution

Member of Southern Transitional Council and Head of Finance and Economy Department, Adnan Al-Kaff warned the legitimate government of an impending hungry revolution if it does not fulfill its commitments to offering the people : salaries, basic services and  providing the basic necessities of life to them.

In an interview with the weekly newspaper Aden Times, Adnan Al-Kaff held the government liable for the deterioration of economic conditions, the collapse of the local currency and the other crises and there effect on the people, adding that the weak monitoring role, the government policies and the Central Bank of Yemen are all the reasons behind the deterioration of the economy and the fall of the currency.

He stressed the need for starting to interrogate against some government officials especially those who are associated with extremist sects, because of their statements that underestimated the martyrs, the wounded and the southern prisoners who made successive victories over the enemies of the south. He also praised the roles of the Arab coalition countries and their financial and military support and their sacrifices to achieve great victories over the coup conspirators and terrorists.

Al-Kaff pointed out that the current situation confirms the great economic downfall and it's  evidence that the funds handed to the government which entered the country  haven't been spent on the real purpose and they have been misplaced.

Engineer Al-Kaff expects the exchange rate of one dollar to soar to 800 Yemeni  Rials and even up to 1000 Yemeni riyals if  the  deterioration of the economy continues with  the currency. He was astonished by the fact that the  government officials recieve their salary  in US dollars and Saudi Riyals while the poor citizens receive their salary in Yemeni riyals, he also was surprised that the state run institutions still deal with the Houthi-Saleh militias in Sana'a, considering this incomprehensible, unjustified and unacceptable behavior. He pointed out that plundering cash reserve by the coup conspirators is part of the great catastrophe.
