Press Statement by Official Spokesperson of the STC on the Negotiations to Open Crossings

We have frequently overemphasized that any consultations or negotiations taking place with Houthi militias, apart from the participation of the South and its STC cannot ever establish a comprehensive and sustainable peace process.

In this sense, any agreements result from such consultations or negotiations are non-binding and insignificant.

In line with this position, the ongoing talks on opening the crossings for humanitarian reasons will remain incomplete if it has not included the opening of all crossings into the South, with no exception.

Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri

Official Spokesperson of the Southern Transitional Council (STC)
