Southern Transitional Council welcomes announcing the envoy of Secretary-General of United Nations a two-month truce

In response to the urgent humanitarian situation, and in support of the efforts of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the United Nations efforts for peace and stability, we welcome the declaration of the envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations for a truce of two months period, affirming the ceasefire on all frontlines, and calling for seizing this opportunity to achieve a lasting peace.
