The President of the Southern Transitional Council, President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, chaired on Tuesday, a joint meeting that included heads and members of the Economic Department of the General Secretariat of the Council's Presidency, and the Economic Committee of the National Assembly of the Council.
The meeting discussed the deteriorating economic situation in the capital, Aden, in particular, and the South in general, and the fierce war of services that elements and symbols in the Yemeni presidency are deliberately waging against the southern citizen.
The meeting stood in front of the repudiation of the government from performing its duties and obligations stipulated in the provisions of the Riyadh Agreement signed between the Transitional Council and the Yemeni legitimacy on November 5, 2019.
The meeting stressed the need to find possible solutions and economic studies at the present time, which would help to lift out of the deteriorating service situation and provide a decent life for citizens.
The meeting also touched on the importance of the role of experts economists, and southern businessmen and financiers, in supporting the local authorities in the capital, Aden, and providing economic studies and research that provide sustainable solutions, and getting the capital, Aden, and the governorates of the South in general, out from their deteriorating economic situation.
