President Al-Zubaidi Emphasises Upgrading Infrastructure at Aden International Airport

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), was briefed on the current conditions at Aden International Airport, the progress of operations, and the challenges facing its management, as well as efforts underway to improve administrative and technical performance and develop infrastructure to enhance operational efficiency and ensure the safety and security of air navigation.

The remarks came during his meeting on Tuesday with the airport’s Director General, Haitham Jaber, and his deputy, Mohammed Aziz Salem. The President highlighted the strategic importance of Aden International Airport as a vital gateway to the country, stressing the need to intensify efforts to improve service levels, facilitate travel procedures, and adhere to approved standards in a way that reflects a positive image of the capital, Aden.

During the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi listened to a briefing from the airport director on the most significant achievements made by the airport’s management over the past period, along with future plans aimed at developing operations and addressing existing challenges.

At the end of the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi reiterated the importance of continued coordination among relevant authorities to enhance air traffic at the airport in a manner that meets the needs of passengers and operating airlines.
