President Al-Zubaidi Highlights Enhancing Legal Departments' Performance to Uphold Rule of Law

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) met on Saturday with Dr. Ahmed Arman, the Minister of Legal Affairs and Human Rights.

President Al-Zubaidi was briefed by Minister Arman on the progress of work within the ministry and the efforts being made to develop plans and executive programs to enable the ministry to properly carry out its tasks of strengthening the enforcement of the law in state institutions, protecting human rights, and achieving social justice.

President Al-Zubaidi listened to a detailed explanation from Minister Arman on the role of the Ministry of Legal Affairs and Human Rights in monitoring and documenting the crimes and violations committed by the Houthi militias against unarmed civilians in areas under their control and against residents in frontline areas, as well as coordinating with the UN agencies and relevant international organizations dedicated to defending human rights to expose these crimes before the international public opinion.

During the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi emphasized the importance of enhancing the performance of legal affairs departments within government institutions and bodies to carry out their duties in upholding the rule of law and ensuring the enforcement of its provisions.

At the end of the meeting, Minister Arman expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation for the tireless efforts made by President Al-Zubaidi in closely following the ministry’s progress and his ongoing dedication to resolving the challenges it encounters.
