The Secretary-General stresses on the importance of holding the National Assembly session in Hadramout

The General Secretariat of the Southern Transitional Council held its regular meeting today under the chairmanship of the secretary-general of the Southern Transitional Council; Ahmed Hamid Lamlas. The meeting discussed the preparations underway for the second session of the National Assembly in Mukalla of Hadramout province. The Secretary-General said that choosing Hadramout for the National Assembly second session has strong political and national implications, stressing on the important role of Hadramaut in the southern national struggle, as Hadramout for the South and South for Hadramout. The meeting discussed several topics including the looting of the cultural structure of the south and how to be monitored and stopped. The meeting also reviewed the economic report, which highlighted the economic confusion of the government, which has been evident in the prices differences from one region to another. In addition to the drop of the local currency, which affects the prices of goods, and reflected negatively on the citizens. The meeting also discussed a number of issues related to the citizens' concern, in addition to reviewing the performance reports of the General Secretariat departments, and their plans of action for the next period.
