Acting Secretary-General of Southern Transitional Council, Fadhl Al-Jaadi, meets the political advisor of the UN envoy

The Acting Secretary-General of the Southern Transitional Council, Fadhl Mohammed Al-Jaadi, received at the Transitional Council's headquarter in Aden, Mr. Mohamed Khater, the political advisor to the UN Special Envoy to Yemen, Mr. Martin Griffith.Al-Jaadi welcomed the visit of Mr. Khater to the Transitional Council, appreciating the keenness of the Office of the International Envoy to Yemen to maintain continuous communication with the leadership of the Southern Transitional Council, which comes within the framework of the United Nations efforts to resolve the Yemeni crisis, end the war, and address political issues, top of them the issue of the South.In the meeting, they discussed the international efforts to gather the political parties to restore the political process leading to ending the war in Yemen. The economic conditions, the high cost of living and the poor services were discussed in light of the total collapse of the local currency.Council to make the United Nations efforts successful, especially in dealing with the southern issue. He explained that the transitional council gathered a lot of southern forces and components under its umbrella, and still working on opening dialogues with the rest of the parties, to find a unified southern platform that includes everyone who believes in the southern cause. For his part, Mohammed Khater, stressed on the keenness of the UN international envoy, Martin Griffith, to address the southern issue to be resolved with fair solution, noting that the United Nations recognizes the role of the Southerners in the equation and in the war. Khater pointed out that the UN envoy looks forward the effective contribution of the Southern Transitional Council to assist the United Nations in providing and finding ways to reach a settlement that will end the war and establish fair and comprehensive solutions that will ultimately lead to lasting peace.
