The Self-Administration of the South issued on Monday, an important statement regarding the intransigence of the Yemeni government, represented by the Central Bank in Aden, for its insistence in not to pay the salaries of the employees of southern armed and security forces, as follows:
Statement issued by the Self-Administration of the South
The leadership of the Self-Administration of the South, in its extraordinary meeting held with the southern military and security leaders, studied the conditions that have developed due to the intransigence of the Yemeni government, represented by the Central Bank of Aden, and its insistence in not paying the salaries of the employees of the southern armed and security forces, as a legitimate right, in contrary to legislation and law, in which exceeded five months in this year 2020, not to mention the previous remaining not paid salaries from the past year.
This intransigence is a disgraceful and inhuman behavior towards this group of people who make victories and had a decisive role in liberating the south, this intransigence has seriously affected this category, while they are still making great sacrifices on the fronts of honor and pride.
What hurts the soul is ignoring the most basic right of those heroes, which is the right to get their salary, and those heroes go to set up tents for sit-in in front of the Coalition camp gate, without stirring the consciences of the Yemeni government and its representative, the Central Bank of Aden, in releasing their salaries.
In the face of all of this, and so that the situation does not reach to undesirable consequences, the self-administration of the south calls on the Yemeni government to give precedence to the language of reason, logic, and law in releasing the salaries that the administration of the central bank in Aden has already received its checks, as well as paying the remaining salaries lift at the bank, otherwise the Self-Administration of the south, and out of its responsibility and duty, will be compelled to take the necessary measures to get the members of the southern armed and security forces their right of salary in full.
