STC Economic Commission Discusses Current Economic Developments in the South

The Economic and Service Commission (ESC) in the General Secretariat of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held its meeting in the capital, Aden, chaired by the ESC’s head, Dr. Ja'afar Mohammed Hussein Munayem.

The meeting discussed the latest economic developments in the South, particularly the recovery of the local currency, which has contributed to lowering prices of essential food goods, commended the tireless efforts led by President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi to resolve economic challenges, and stressed the importance of implementing His Excellency's directives on economic and service-related matters to alleviate hardships facing citizens of the South.

During the meeting, the ESC focused on organizational and administrative tasks related to its work, along with the approved work plan for the remainder of the current year, 2025, to enhance performance and achieve targeted objectives.

The Commission listened to a number of suggestions and ideas raised by its members to strengthen economic affairs and public service initiatives.
