The National Southern Media Authority (NSMA) of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) convened its regular meeting today, Sunday, in the capital, Aden, headed by Mr. Mukhtar Al-Yafe'y, deputy head of NSMA.
The meeting reviewed recent developments in the landscape of the South and saluted the 10th anniversary of the liberation of Al-Dhale'a governorate from the Houthi aggression, commending this national epic bravely embodied by the people of the South, which is widely regarded as a turning moment in the quest of the unrelenting struggles of the South, spearheaded by President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, and ultimately led to the founding of the STC as a political entity for advocating the cause of the people of the South.
The meeting underscored the need to revitalize the authority's vital role in the field of media training and qualification, aimed at enhancing the skills of STC-affiliated media and journalistic personnel, and highlighted the importance of equipping media members of the South with whatever is professionally appropriate to adapt to fast-evolving technologies shaping the fields of media and journalism.
The authority discussed a range of topics related to media affairs of the South, adopting a number of measures and decisions to strengthen NSMA's institutional media performance.
