STC Media Authority Calls for Concerted Media Efforts to Counter Houthi Militias

The National Southern Media Authority (NSMA), assisting the Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), held its regular meeting today, Monday, headed by Mr. Salem Thabet Al-Awlaqi, head of NSMA and official spokesman of the STC.

The meeting reviewed the latest political, military, security, and service-related developments, as well as strategies for media engagement with these new events.

During its meeting, the authority has called for media discourse to focus on key issues that reflect the cohesiveness of the South, its social fabric, and the steadfastness of its political leadership in confronting Houthi militias, terrorist groups, and all schemes targeting the just cause of the South—its land, people, and identity.

The authority has stressed the critical need for a unified media front toward the real battle against the terrorist Houthi militia, which has devastated the country, brought suffering on the people, and threatened regional and international maritime navigation, and shed light on exposing the human rights violations and crimes committed by these militias against civilians.

NSMA urged all writers, journalists, media members, and affiliated outlets under the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) to uphold their responsibility, focus attention, and mobilize all media efforts and media institutions in confronting the terrorist Houthi militias and sustaining local and international deterrence operations against them.

At the end of its meeting, the authority touched on a range of media-related topics and took appropriate actions and measures.
