STC Women's Commission Discusses with CMI Foundation Promoting Women's Empowerment in Political Process

Dr. Suhair Ali Ahmed, head of the Women Commission assisting the Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), received on Thursday at her office in the capital, Aden, Ms. Dina Zorba, UN Women Representative to Yemen.
At the start of the meeting, Dr. Suhair warmly welcomed Ms. Dina, and highlighted the importance of finding solutions to the challenges facing women and exploring ways to enhance joint cooperation to address them, in a way to empower women and support their roles across various fields.
During the meeting, Dr. Suhair praised the UN Women representative's efforts to promote and actively contribute to women's empowerment in political and economic spheres. She valued these efforts and expressed her desire to strengthen the partnership to achieve further progress in this area.
For her part, Ms. Dina affirmed the importance of coordinating joint efforts between the two sides to serve women's issues and increase their participation in public life.
The meeting was attended by Ms. Asmahan Abdo Qassem, deputy head of the women's commission, and Ms. Yasmin Ahmed Musa'ed, head of the women and children department at the general secretariat of the STC.
