STC Foreign Affairs Welcomes the Australian Government's Decision to Designate the Houthi Militia as a Terrorist Organization
The Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Authority (FAEA) of the Southern Transitional Council (STC...
The Southern Transitional Council (STC) is following up on what is being so-called the "National Bloc of Political Parties and Components" event (including its documents and founding statement), which was released on Tuesday with the participation of a certain number of political components and figures promoting the so-called "Federal Yemen Project."
While the STC, driven by its "Southern National Charter," steers a political coalition towards pursuing the people's goals and aspirations of restoring the state of the South and its identity, it reaffirms its readiness to engage in dialogue and openness to discuss any efforts that counter the threat posed by the Houthi terrorist militia.
While the STC reiterates its non-participation in this National Bloc, given the existence of two separate political realities, each with its own people, identity, and aspirations, which necessitate non-interference in the affairs of either, it declares its non-commitment to any outcomes or results in which it has not actively participated or explicitly consented.
The STC takes this opportunity to emphasize the importance of all parties adhering to the commitments outlined in the Riyadh Agreement and the final statement of the consultations sponsored by the Gulf Cooperation Council states, and with a keen interest in maintaining the cohesiveness of the existing partnership, embodied by the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), its supporting bodies, and the power-sharing government between the South and North.
