NSMA Head Meets with Reuters Delegate Maggie Michael

Mr. Salem Thabet Al-Awlaqi, head of the National Southern Media Authority (NSMA), assisting the Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and the official spokesman of the STC, has received today, Tuesday, in his office in the capital, Aden, journalist of Reuters News Agency, Ms. Maggie Michael, who is focusing on media coverage of the humanitarian crisis in the country.

During the meeting, Al-Awlaqi highlighted the dire economic and humanitarian consequences stemming from the Houthi militia's targeting of oil and economic facilities, as well as international maritime navigation, and the repercussions resulting from these terrorist activities, pointing out the importance of objectively reporting on events and positions to accurately reflect the reality of the situation.

Regarding the political and military situation, Al-Awlaqi underscored the significance of President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi’s address before the UN Security Council to find a comprehensive approach to ending the war, resolving the cause of the South, and achieving just and lasting peace.

For her part, Ms. Maggie Michel expressed her gratitude for the warm welcome and the facilities provided by NSMA to successfully accomplish its media mission in the capital, Aden, and in other cities in the South.
