STC Political Commission Holds Periodic Meeting for March

 
The Political Commission (PC), assisting the Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), held, on Sunday, its first meeting in the month of March 2024 in the capital, Aden, chaired by Dr. Nasser Al-Khubaji, Head of the PC and Head of the Negotiations Affairs Unit (NAU).

In the beginning of the meeting, the PC reviewed and approved the minutes of the previous meeting and the level of implementation of what was stated therein, in addition to a monitoring report on local and international events and developments submitted by the Monitoring Section of the PC.

The PC discussed the unilateral measures taken by the Houthi militia to open the border crossing in Al-Dhalea Governorate, reiterating the indivisibility of the political process files and to be under UN auspices and guarantees that obligate all parties to implement their outcomes and not to shirk the obligations of the political solution.

The meeting stood against the continued terrorist escalation in the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandeb Strait, its negative effects on global trade, and its disastrous repercussions on the deteriorating economic conditions and citizens’ livelihoods in the country.

At the end of its meeting, the PC reviewed a range of topics on its agenda and took appropriate decisions and recommendations in that regard.
