STC's Secretariat Organizes "Indian Jammaat" Ceremony in the Capital, Aden

The Media and Cultural Department of the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) organized on Monday, in the capital, Aden, the "Indian Jammaat" ceremony, under the generous patronage of President Aidarous bin Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the STC.

At the start of the ceremony, which opened with verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the national anthem of the South, in the presence of Dr. Abdul-Salam Qassem Mussaed, Deputy Head of the Internal Southern National Dialogue Team, Mr. Esam Abdo Ali, in charge of the STC's head of local leadership executive body (LLEB) in the capital Aden, Mr. Raafat Al-Alawi, the head of the International Organizations Section of the General Directorate of Foreign Affairs (GDFA), Dr. Basem Mansour, Head of the Media and Cultural Department of the Secretariat, delivered a speech in which he conveyed the greetings of President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi.

Dr. Basem Mansour drew attention to the keenness of the STC in particular and the South in general in nurturing and promoting diverse cultures in the community of the South, pointing out that the state of the South has projected the most wonderful pictures of coexistence among its people, which reflected a harmony in promoting openness to diversified cultures, which represents the "Indian Jammaat" as the "Indian Jammat" is one of that rich and fruitful diversity.

Dr. Mansour touched on the paramount importance of the geographical location of the state of the South, lying on al-Mandab strait and the Indian Ocean, which made it a bright painting with the colours of civilization and the coherent cultural and social strength to preserve its existence, coexistence, and national heritage for all and by all its people, affirming that these deeply rooted principles were embodied in the outcomes of the consultative meeting, from which a social contract has emerged, represented in the National Charter, which is a roadmap for building the aspired federal state of the South, expressing thanks and appreciation to all who contributed, organized, participated, and attended this distinguished ceremony.

The ceremony included Southern-Indian lyrical songs, many artistic paragraphs, and a theatrical sketch by a number of the attendees, organizers, and blooms of the South that acquired the approbation of all and reflected the single social fabric and the multi-cultural identity the capital, Aden, and the South enjoy.
