Statement by official spokesman of STC regarding terrorist operation targeted Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Council, Governor of Aden the capital, and the Deputy Secretary-General, Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries

In a treacherous terrorist operation, cowardly terrorist hands targeted the Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, the Governor of the capital, Aden, Mr. Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, and Major General Salem Abdullah Al-Socotri, the deputy secretary-general of the Council, Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, by a suicide car bomber in Hojaif, in the capital, Aden, which led to the death of four of their escorts and injuring five, including three civilian citizens.

This treacherous terrorist operation is only a result of the safe shelter provided by the Muslim Brotherhood to terrorist groups under its umbrella in the service of the Houthi militias to facilitate bringing them into the liberated areas, which began clearly through their obstruction to the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement and their unjustified evasion of it.

This operation coincides with the collapse of the fronts in Shabwa and Marib in favor of the terrorist Houthi militia, in a joint and dangerous conspiracy scheme targeting the whole South and the Arab coalition, in addition to targeting the security of the capital, Aden, by trying to break the stature of maintaining security and the security achievements that have been accomplished in the capital.
