Representative of Transitional Council reviews cases of Al-Qomishi, Habtoor and Al-Faidhi at symposium of Arab Committee for Human Rights in Geneva

Counselor Abdul-Rahman Al-Mussaibli, representative of the Southern Transitional Council, reviewed a number of violations committed against citizens by the security forces in Shabwa governorate, during a symposium organized by the Arab Committee for Human Rights at the United Nations building in Geneva of Switzerland.

Among the issues that were reviewed by Al-Mussaibli during the symposium were the killing of Saeed Al-Qomishi, the torture of citizen Yaslam Habtoor, and the kidnapping of the captive Mohammed Al-Faidhi.

On the other hand, Ambassador Ali Al-Bujairi, the member of the Transitional Council team, previewed the terms that offend human rights standards in the Yemeni law system, stressing that they are inconsistent with the terms of international human rights law.

Al-Bujairi asserted that the people of the south were executed in the squares just due to raising the flag of the south or demonstrating to demand for their rights.
