The Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council holds an extraordinary meeting

The Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council held an extraordinary meeting on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Mr. Fadhl Mohammed Al-Jadi, Acting President of the Transitional Council, Assistant Secretary-General of the Presidency.

The Presidency discussed the developments in the southern arena, specifically in the capital, Aden, especially with the attempt to prejudice the flag of the South at Aden International Airport, and the resulting large public congestion that may threaten to escalate uncontrollable consequences.

The meeting stressed on the importance of respecting the flag of the south, which represents the symbolism of the people of the south and their sacrifices all over the recent southern history with the liberation of the south that achieved by the support of the Arab Coalition.

Al-Jadi said that the flag of the south is still the title of the unity of our people of the South who have sacrificed to raise it in all the liberated southern areas and under its banner the sacrifices continue against the invading forces, praising the high national spirit of our people, and expressing a firm position towards targeting it.

The meeting renewed the welcome of the contents of the Riyadh agreement, to get out of the crisis and not allow any excesses and work to continue cooperation in order to maintain the security, stability and tranquility of society.

The meeting also discussed the conditions of the southern prisoners in the prisons of the Muslim Brotherhood in Shabwa governorate, and the emphasis on their release, including those militants who were arbitrarily detained in peaceful activities.
