The Deputy of the Head of Foreign Affairs Department of the Southern Transitional Council, Mohamed Al-Ghaithi, met on Wednesday with the French Ambassador to Yemen Christian Tisto.
In the meeting, they discussed the latest political and military updates in the south, in particular the military situation and the recent Houthi attacks on the borders lines of the provinces of Dhalea and Lahj, they discussed also the files related to the political process sponsored by the United Nations aimed at stopping the war and bringing peace within a comprehensive political settlement.
Al-Ghaithi stressed on the keenness of the Southern Transitional Council to complete a comprehensive peace process under the umbrella of the United Nations, noting that the presence of the southerners as part of this process will ensure its success, especially that the exclusion of southerners is on the contrary to the current reality, as being proven by the historical facts and the recent events.
