Southern Transitional Council Social Affairs Department organizes seminar entitled "Social Justice is a right, not a gift"

The Social Affairs Department of the General Secretariat in the Southern Transitional Council organized on Wednesday a seminar entitled "Social Justice is a right, not a gift" on the occasion of the International Day of Social Justice, which is celebrated every year on February 20.

At the opening of the seminar, the Head of the Social Affairs Department at the General Secretariat of the Transitional Council, Aad Mohammed Ali Haitham, delivered a speech in which he stressed that the International Day for Social Justice is one of the international days celebrated in the framework of the United Nations.

He pointed out that the concept of social justice has more than one perspective , for that in this seminar we try to make the best use of the different views for the meanings and concepts of social justice."

The seminar was presented by the expert journalist Zakaria Al-Saadi, who gave a brief overview of the International day of Social Justice, besides the various names and meanings of social justice and its concepts among people.

Al-Saadi explained the benefits of implementing social justice in societies and its positive rewards, in addition to the different ways to apply social justice and the main obstacles to implement social justice on reality.

The seminar was attended by heads of the departments of the General Secretariat of the Transitional Council, in addition to a number of social, legal and juridical activists, who actively participated and influenced the seminar with their views and questions.
