Southern Transitional Council Welcomes the Appointment of the New UN Envoy to Yemen

 

 
  Spokesman for the Southern Transitional Council and member of the STC Presidency, Salem Thabet Al-Awlaki welcomed on behalf of the Council the appointment of the new United Nations envoy to Yemen, the former British diplomat Martin Griffiths.  

  Al-Awlaki affirmed the support of the Southern Transitional Council and its cooperation with Griffiths to ensure the success of his tasks. He called on the UN special envoy to Yemen to deal with the cause of the southern people fairly and with a living conscience to achieve sustainable peace and comprehensive security.
