President Al-Zubaidi Receives Delegation from People of Shabwa Participating in Consultative Meeting


President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), and Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), received on Monday evening representatives of the political and social components of the people of Shabwa, who participated in the consultative meeting, which was hosted in the capital, Aden, for four consecutive days.

At the start of the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi expressed his appreciation for the large presence of representatives of the political and social components of the people of Shabwa in the consultative meeting, lauding the high patriotic spirit that characterizes the people of Shabwa and their prominent presence in the course of the southern revolution, their constant determination to strengthen the southern cohesiveness, and their well-known national role in defending the South and preserving its gained achievements.

President Al-Zubaidi listened to a satisfied explanation of the developments in the situation in Shabwa governorate and the concerns of its people, in addition to a rage of issues and problems encountered and ways that can contribute to fulfilling these demands and solving such problems. Moreover, the President affirmed that what was raised would be of high interest to the leadership.

In turn, the people of Shabwa congratulated President Al-Zubaidi for the grand success of the southern national dialogue, which culminated today in the signing of the National Charter by the various political and social components both inside and outside the South, reaffirming their support, alignment, and backing of the leadership of the STC to move forward in achieving the complete independence and fully sovereign state of the South with its internationally recognized borders of May 21, 1990.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Salem Thabet Al-Awlaqi, a member of the STC's Presidium.
