Ben Brik Discusses with Vice-President of the Supreme Court the Situation of Judiciary, Finding Ways to Solve and Reform Judicial System

Major General Ahmed Saeed Ben Brik, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), met, on Thursday, Judge Ahmed Omar Ba-Matraf, Vice President of the Supreme Court.

At the beginning of the meeting, which was attended by Dr. Asmahan Ben Brik, lecturer at the Faculty of Law, University of Aden, member of the Board of Directors of the Higher Judicial Institute, Judge Ahmed Ba-Matraf congratulated Major General Ben Brik on the success of the fifth session of the National Assembly and the issued final statement, which will contribute to changing the course of events and fulfilling citizens' requirements like basic services.

The meeting also discussed the conditions of judges and crisis that the judicial authority is going through it and finding the ways to solve and reform the judicial system with the aim of creating an independent, strong and just judiciary that perfectly performs its constitutional and legal duties, and contributes to reforming the crises that have been experienced in the southern governorates in various fields, leading to consolidating the rule of law, spreading justice among citizens, combating criminal incidents, and achieving security and safety in the country.

The meeting touched on the situation in Hadhramaut, and the crises that the governorate is going through it in particular and the South in general. It also reviewed the latest political and economic events, and its repercussions on the general situation in the country.
