The Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council held on Saturday, its periodic meeting at the council headquarters in the southern capital, Aden, chaired by President Aidaroos Qassem Al-Zubaidi, The President of the Southern Transitional Council, Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces.
The meeting was attended by the cabinet ministers in the government, and southern military and security leaders, led by the commander of the Fourth Military Region, and President Al-Zubaidi's advisor for military and security affairs, and the director of security for Aden the capital, in addition to the commander of the Special Security Forces, the storm (Al-Asifa) forces, and the director of central operations, in which Presidency praised the heroic steadfastness of the heroes of the southern armed forces on the battle fronts against the Houthi militia, and in confronting those who tamper with the security and stability of the South from the Brotherhood militia and its allies in terrorist organizations, and the instigators of strife and division and the obstructers of the interests of citizens.
The Presidency of the Council also listened to explanations from the Governor of Aden the capital, the Secretary General of the Presidency of the Council, Mr. Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, about the arrival of the ship of the first Saudi grant for oil derivatives to the oil port, expressing its thanks for the permanent efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Presidency of the Council appreciated the efforts made by President Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, in addressing the existing bottlenecks in the field of oil derivatives.
It also called on the Prime Minister of the government to quickly return to the capital, Aden, to meet the citizens' demands, and fulfill the government's promises, and stop the process of economic collapse and deterioration of services, as well as the national currency, whose disastrous results bear the simple citizens.
The Presidency emphasized the importance that the process of evaluating the performance of the government has acquired since its arrival in the capital Aden and until now, and the pressure to clarify the reasons for the government's failure to fulfill its stated obligations, pursuant to the approach of transparency and openness that embodies the reality of what is happening and its implications for the Riyadh agreement.
In a separate context, the Presidency stressed the importance of interacting with the noted regional and international concerns regarding the development of the crisis in Yemen and the role played by the various parties in stopping the war, addressing the humanitarian situation, and reviewing Resolution 2216 issued by the UN Security Council and the ongoing preparations in this regard, in preparation for making the appropriate amendments to the resolution during the meetings of the UN Security Council during the coming days.
The meeting stressed the need for the Southern Transitional Council to intensify its external political role to address this situation and employ it in the interest of the South, and its just and legitimate cause.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Presidency evaluated the results achieved at the level of Ramadan program and Ramadan evenings that were implemented by the General Secretariat of the Southern Transitional Council, praising the level of successes achieved in the celebrations of the fourth anniversary of the Aden's historic Declaration, and the establishment of the Southern Transitional Council, expressing its great satisfaction with the content of the speech which was delivered by President Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi on this historic occasion, which had a positive impact on the hearts of the people of the South, and won regional, international, and local support on a large scale.
