President Al-Zubaidi Meets Deputy Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism and Pledges Support for Developing Media, Cultural and Tourism Sectors

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (LPC), met on Thursday with Mr. Salah Abdullah Al-Aqel, newly appointed deputy minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism.

During the meeting, which was attended by the Secretary General of the General Secretariat of the Transitional Council's Presidency, Mr. Abdulrahman Jalal; Mr. Moamen Al-Saqqaf, member of the STC Presidency and head of the Transitional Executive Council in the capital Aden; and Deputy Secretary General Eng. Nazar Haitham, President Al-Zubaidi listened to a range of opinions and ideas from Al-Aqel aimed at developing the media landscape, as well as the preliminary plan he prepared following his appointment decree yesterday.

President Al-Zubaidi emphasized the importance of addressing imbalances in the Ministry of Information and remedying deficiencies in the tasks assigned to the Ministry of Information, Culture, and Tourism. He stressed enhancing its role in overseeing the performance of official media outlets and establishing regulatory frameworks for media work, alongside advancing the cultural and tourism sectors to reflect an honorable image of the South and its ancient history.

President Al-Zubaidi reiterated his support and backing for the newly appointed deputy minister, affirming his readiness to ease any difficulties that may hinder the ministry's workflow and enable it to perform its tasks optimally.

For his part, Deputy Minister Al-Aqel expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to President Al-Zubaidi for the confidence placed in him, affirming his determination to exert maximum efforts to be worthy of this trust and to move forward in serving the media, culture, and tourism sectors.

The meeting was attended by Imad Mohammed, Director of the Office of the Vice Chairman of the PLC.
