The President of the Southern Transitional Council, Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, President Aidaroos Qasim Al-Zubaidi, and his accompanying delegation concluded on Thursday, February 4, 2021, their successful official visit to the Russian Federation.
The official spokesman for the Southern Transitional Council, member of the Council 's Presidency, Ali Al Kathiri, confirmed, in a press statement, that President Al-Zubaidi's talks with officials in the Russian Federation were constructive and fruitful, as the positions and visions were congruent towards the need to advance a comprehensive peace process that accommodates all issues and parties, with the issue of the people of the south being at the fore, in a way to achieve the aspirations and goals of the southerners led by the Southern Transitional Council.
The Council’s official spokesman indicated that President Al-Zubaidi and his accompanying delegation held a series of successful and fruitful meetings with officials in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Federation Council and the Duma, and also met with an elite of scholars and researchers interested in southern affairs, adding that this visit constituted a qualitative development in the relationship of the Southern Transitional Council, with the friends in the Russian Federation.
In his visit to the Russian Federation, President Al-Zubaidi was accompanied by members of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, Chairman of the National Assembly, and Ahmed Lamlas, Secretary-General of the Presidency, Governor of the capital Aden, and Dr. Nasser Al-Khobaji, Head of the Negotiations Affairs Unit, and Ali Al-Kathiri, Deputy Head of the Negotiations Affairs Unit, Official Spokesman of the Council, and Amr Al-Bidh the member of the Presidency, and Mohammad Al-Ghaithi, Deputy Head of the General Department of Foreign Affairs, and Anees Al-Sharafi, member of the Negotiations Affairs Unit.
