President Al-Zubaidi Discusses Ways to Develop Transport Infrastructure

His Excellency President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), conducted an inspection visit to the Ministry of Transport in the capital, Aden, on Monday to review the workflow there.

During the visit, President Al-Zubaidi received a detailed briefing from the Minister of Transport, Dr Abdulsalam Humaid, on the ministry's organisational structure, its affiliated bodies and institutions, their respective tasks, and the most prominent achievements made in the air, maritime, and land transport sectors over the past period, as well as the efforts being made to improve the level of public services and overcome existing challenges.

Following this, the President chaired an expanded meeting with the ministry's leadership, during which His Excellency discussed the workflow in the various bodies and institutions affiliated with the ministry, ways to enhance institutional performance, and developing the infrastructure for the transport sector to serve development plans and meet the needs of citizens.

During the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi stressed the importance of redoubling efforts, strengthening coordination among the ministry and relevant bodies, and working in a team spirit to advance the transport sector, as it is a fundamental pillar for economic development and stability.

At the conclusion of the visit, Dr Abdulsalam Humaid expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the President for his stances towards the ministry's leadership, his constant keenness to follow up on the progress of work, and his efforts to ease the challenges it faces.
