President Al-Zubaidi Receives Arab Coalition Joint Forces Command

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), in the presence of his deputy, Mr. Abdul Rahman Al-Muharrami, a member of the PLC, received the command of the Joint Forces of the Arab Coalition on Friday evening at the Presidential Palace in the capital, Aden, led by Maj. Gen. Sultan Al-Anzi and Maj. Gen. Awad Saeed Al Ahbabi.

At the beginning of the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi welcomed the command of the Coalition's Joint Forces, lauding the fraternal role of the Arab Coalition countries, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), in the battle to counter terrorist plots against the security and stability of the country and the entire region.

The meeting discussed ways to unify efforts in confronting all threats to regional and international security that negatively affect international interests and jeopardize the freedom of global maritime navigation.

The meeting also reviewed mechanisms to strengthen counter-terrorism efforts within the country, dry up its sources of funding, and coordinate with partners in the international coalition to prevent weapons smuggling to terrorist groups and dismantle smuggling networks.

At the end of the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi reiterated his gratitude and appreciation, on behalf of our people, to the brothers in the Coalition countries and affirmed that their sincere fraternal positions alongside our country will remain forever etched in the memory of our people and immortalized by history in its brightest pages. His Excellency reaffirmed the depth and strength of the brotherly fateful ties that bind our peoples and relations that were consecrated in blood during the shared battle of destiny.

In turn, the command of the Arab Coalition's Joint Forces commended the immense sacrifices made by the people of the South in confronting the Houthi militias and combating terrorism and highlighted the importance of the role expected of them in this regard, both in the present and the future.
