STC Media and Culture Authority Calls on Local, Arab, and International Media to Cover the South's Independence Day Celebrations

The Media and Culture Authority in the General Secretariat of the Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) has called on all local, Arab, and international media to actively engage and closely cover the events marking the people of the South's 58th anniversary of National Independence Day on 30 November 1967.

This came during its regular monthly meeting for November, held today, Thursday, in the capital, Aden, chaired by the Authority's head, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh, who discussed various organisational aspects related to the events for commemorating this immortal national occasion and reviewed details of the field, technical, and media preparations to ensure this event is highlighted in a manner that reflects the grandeur and symbolism of the occasion in the Southern collective consciousness and enhances its presence in local and regional public opinion.

The meeting also reviewed the latest developments in Hadhramaut and the challenges the governorate is facing on various levels and highlighted the importance of all media outlets conveying the truth and supporting efforts to bolster security and stability in the governorates of the South, particularly in Hadhramaut.

The meeting concluded with a set of measures and recommendations aimed at contributing to the success of the November events, ranging from enhancing media coverage to ensuring broad public participation that reflects the historical and political value of the Independence Day anniversary.
