The National Southern Media Authority (NSMA) of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held its regular meeting today, Sunday, in the capital, Aden, headed by Mr. Mukhtar Al-Yafe'y, deputy head of NSMA.

The meeting discussed the role of the STC-aligned media and press, and that of the South in general, in covering the Southern, regional, and international landscape, as well as the latest political, military, security, and service-related developments.

The authority, during its meeting, urged media outlets to intensify their efforts and unify their messaging to ensure the success of the "Hadramaut First" million-person rally event on April 24, which coincides with the ninth anniversary of liberating Al-Mukalla and the Hadramaut Coast from Al-Qaeda terrorist groups, and highlighted the importance of drawing lessons and inspiration from this historic national epic of the South.

In the same context, NSMA emphasized the need to project the unified front of the South in media discourse, reflecting its cohesiveness and the political leadership's unwavering commitment to realizing the hopes and aspirations of the people of the South in building their independent federal state and thwarting schemes that threaten this national project.

Furthermore, NSMA underscored the importance of directing media efforts toward the real battle against the terrorist Houthi militia and exposing its crimes and human rights violations against civilians, and called on journalists and media professionals of the South to highlight the pressing challenges facing the South and to strive diligently in supporting the institutional frameworks for the coming state of the South.

At the end of its meeting, the authority touched on a range of media-related topics and took appropriate actions and measures.
