President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, and Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Command Council (PLC), accompanied by Major General Faraj Salmin Al-Buhsni, Vice-President of the STC and Vice-Chairman of the PLC, attended on Saturday a military parade for the students of the first year of a bachelor's degree at Police College in Hadramout.
The students performed a majestic military parade to the tunes of the musical troupe in the parade ground, which was led by the marching commander, the flag bearers, and the parade groups, who demonstrated their well-trained performance and readiness to carry out national security tasks and greeted President Al-Zubaidi and his vice president.
President Al-Zubaidi congratulated the people of Hadramout and the leadership of the college, and especially congratulated Major General Faraj Al-Buhsni, who established this educational edifice from which officers from the governorates of Hadramout, Shabwa, Almahra, and Socotra graduated, stressing the importance of this college, which was established after the launch of the Decisive Storm and the liberation of the Coast of Hadramout from the grip of terrorist organizations.
President Al-Zubaidi addressed the students of the college, saying: "In these times, while you are studying police law knowledge, you have major tasks ahead of you in the future, after completing your education, qualification, and training," indicating that the future awaits your graduation from this college to maintain security affairs and contribute to the stability process of the homeland.
President Al-Zubaidi affirmed the readiness of the PLC and the STC to provide support to the Police College in Hadramout to be able to properly implement the assigned tasks, given its role in preparing security officers and providing the country with well-qualified officers armed with science and knowledge in legal and police affairs.
For his part, the dean of the Police College in Hadramout, Major General Salem Abdullah Al-Khanbashi, welcomed all the attendees in the college leadership and its students in this police academic educational edifice, which represents an important achievement that was established in light of the difficult circumstances that the country was passing through, explaining that this distinctive achievement was established as per the directives of former President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi, so that Major General Faraj Salmeen Al-Baluhsni took upon his shoulders the task of founding while assuming the position of governor in Hadramout Governorate.
President Al-Zubaidi and Major General Al-Buhsni walked through the premises of the Police College, getting acquainted with the dean of the college and getting an explanation about the construction stages of the college, which included in the first phase the student hostel, the administration, and the academy buildings, as well as the auditorium and the fence of the college for the second phase with towers.
In the same context, President Al-Zubaidi, accompanied by Major General Al-Bahsani, chaired a meeting with the leadership of the Police College in Hadramout, and they were briefed on the progress of the educational process and the efforts made by the college leadership to raise the level of academic research and training activities for students, as well as the difficulties encountered, and discussed ways to address the challenges with appropriate solutions.
It is worth mentioning that President Al-Zubaidi and Vice President Al-Buhsni were accompanied by Mr. Ali Al-Kathiri, a member of the STC's Presidium, and Mr. Mohammad Al-Ghaithi, head of the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission of the PLC.
