President Al-Zubaidi Chairs Meeting of STC's Central and Auxiliary Bodies

President Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), chaired on Wednesday morning a joint meeting of the STC's presidium, including the heads of the auxiliary bodies.

At the beginning of the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi welcomed the new members of the Presidium and the heads of the auxiliary bodies, pointing out that the South is standing on the threshold of a new stage that requires everyone to make tireless efforts to improve the pace of work from its position, to fulfill the goals that the STC is working to achieve as an entity carrying the cause of the South and  to fulfill the aspirations of its people to restore their state fully sovereign.

The meeting discussed the orientations of the stage and the broad lines of the STC's policy in the next stage, as well as ways and mechanisms to perform the tasks assigned to the Presidium and the auxiliary bodies. in this regard, President Al-Zubaidi urged everyone to bear their national responsibilities, work seriously and sincerely, cooperate and coordinate between the various bodies of the STC, implement the principle of reward and punishment, and work in a team spirit to fulfill tasks.

The meeting reviewed the results fulfilled by the Southern National Dialogue Teams (SNDT) both at home and abroad, which culminated in the signing of the Southern National Charter, where President Al-Zubaidi reaffirmed In this regard that the STC will definitely continue its serious efforts to strengthen the southern cohesiveness and consolidate the deeply-rooted principle of dialogue as the only approach to resolving and settling differences towards a trustworthy national partnership that establishes a modern federal state free of conflicts, voilence, hatred, revenge, and feud.

The meeting touched on a range of humanitarian developments throughout the governorates of the South in light of the deteriorating economic conditions that have doubled the suffering of citizens. In this respect, President Al-Zubaidi reaffirmed that improving the living conditions of citizens is a top priority for the STC, and it will work through its executive bodies to improve and boost services and guarantee their continuity.
