The Office of the General Department of Foreign Affairs organized on Sunday the inauguration of the video meeting of the online workshop program that is held in the British capital, London, with the participation in the next two months of a group of southern cadres and competencies at home and abroad to discuss a set of files related to the South issue, including the political, security, economic, and humanitarian files, and a number of other files related to self-administration and the situation in the south in general, with the aim of exchanging views, ideas, visions and experiences.
The inaugural meeting was launched on Sunday, with the participation of more than 90 specialized southern cadres at home and abroad, in which the Counselor Mohammad Nasser Al-Sahimi, Deputy Director of the Office delivered a welcome speech to the attendees, thanking them for attending and participating in the meeting, indicating the importance of the program and its work, then the head of the General Department of Foreign Affairs Dr. Aidaroos Nasr Al-Naqeeb, delivered the a Department 's speech praising the participants and wishing them success in the visible national program.
After that, the President Aidaroos Qassem Al-Zubaidi, the President of the Southern Transitional Council, Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces and Security, delivered a speech in which he stressed on the importance of the role of the southern cadre abroad, and the intention of the Southern Transitional Council to take advantage of these competencies to serve their cause, and remove the suffering of their people in various aspects of life.
Adding that the political leadership relies and all the people of the South on the category of practical competencies and southern cadres, to raise the awareness of our people, and to work to bridge and fix the consequences of the past and overcome the challenges of the present, and to develop constructive knowledge, solutions and strategies, to enhance the gains of the people of the South, and to be raised towards its goals and aspirations to restore and build the state South that is identified by security, stability and social welfare.
After that, Dr. Nasser Al-Khubaji spoke and gave a detailed explanation of the latest developments in the political file, in particular the developments of the Riyadh talks and the recent developments related to the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement.
Dr. Abdel Salam Humaid, Chairman of the Supreme Economic Committee in the Self-Administration, also spoke about the economic file, and Eng. Adnan Al-Kaf; member of the Presidency, Chairman of the Relief Committee, talked about the relief and humanitarian file, then Brigadier Mutahar Naji talked about the security file, and Eng. Nazar Haitham, the spokesman for the Southern Transitional Council talked on the role of the media, and Dr. Safaa Moati talked on the statistics file, and Eng. Raafat Al-Thaqali, head of the local leadership of the Southern Transitional Council in the governorate of Socotra, talked on the current situation in Socotra Archipelago governorate after the decision of the self-administration therein.
The meeting also included other interventions from a number of specialized southern cadres, in preparation for what will be discussed in the visual workshops during the coming weeks, according to the prepared program.
