Al-Kathiri Attends First Batch Graduation Ceremony in Military Police Brigade of Southern Armed Forces


Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Chairman of the National Assembly, attended on Monday the first graduating batch of VIP protection and infantry platoon officers in the Military Police Brigade of the Southern Armed Forces. 

The Acting President of the STC delivered a speech, which was attended by Mr. Fadi Ba'oum, member of the STC’s Presidium, Major General Saleh Ali Hassan, Head of the Joint Operations, Major General Ahmed Mahmoud Hassan, Commander of the Military Police Brigade, and Brigadier General Abdul-Salam Al-Bihani, Chief of Operations of the First Presidential Protection Division, and a number of security and military commanders conveyed at the beginning the greetings of President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the STC, Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces.

Mr. Al-Kathiri congratulated the members of the first batch in the Military Police Brigade on their graduation, highlighting that this represents a new addition to the Southern Armed Forces and security services with all its military and security units and formations in the capital, Aden, and the South, and expressing his pride and satisfaction in the graduation of this batch and the ongoing training courses and qualification process that create a new horizon for the cause of the people of the South.

Al-Kathiri addressed the graduating individuals, saying: “Today, while you are in the fields of training and qualification, you are integrating with your comrades who are already engaged in the frontline struggle, making sacrifices in defense of our land and our people, and this integration is what creates victories for our people and our cause.”

Al-Kathiri added, saying: “Our people and our cause are strong and will enforce its rightful presence in the field, and thanks to your ultimate sacrifices and valor. You have our utmost respect and all the pride, and we should be proud of you and all the members of our Armed Forces and Security Services. I extend my deepest greetings to the members of the brigade and to whoever works to enhance our military capabilities through continued organization and also through the training and qualification through which these forces are formed across the territory of the South.”

In turn, Mr. Fadi Ba'oum, a member of the STC's Presidium, stressed, “The importance of the only goal that brings us together today and since the spark of the liberation revolution was ignited in the South, which is to restore our stolen southern land and homeland, and defend it with all our might thanks to the valor of our Southern Armed Forces with all their security and military units, and defeating hostile terrorist forces.”

Major General Saleh Ali Hassan, Head of the Joint Operations, commended the unwavering support and oversight provided by the political leadership of the STC, under the presidium of Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, the Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, and his excellency's constant follow-up of the Armed Forces and their organization, congratulating the first batch in the Police Brigade. The military successfully completed the training courses held for them and the previous courses in other brigades, which were supervised by the Joint Operations Command. 

During the graduation, Major General Ahmed Mahmoud Hassan, Commander of the Military Police Brigade, delivered a speech in which he welcomed the presence of the Acting President of the STC, Mr. Al-Kathiri, Mr. Fadi Baoum, and all those present, including commanders, soldiers, figures, and staff officers and non-commissioned officers, indicating that the graduation of this first batch comes as an extension of the great security and military successes at the level of the capital, Aden, and the South in general, achieved by our Southern Armed Forces in its various formations, to preserve the hard-won gains of our people of the South and the sacrifices of the blessed martyrs.

The graduates conducted a military parade showcasing their capabilities and readiness to undertake all security and military tasks, including the protection of high-ranking officials and VIP figures, as well as all official and public facilities and locations, and competence in implementing specialized security protection plans.
