Al-Kathiri Gets Briefed on Ongoing Arrangements for Inauguration of the South Women's Union Branch


Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Chairman of the National Assembly, met today, Thursday, with the preparatory committee for the inauguration of the branch of the South Women's Union in the capital, Aden, headed by Ms. Nadera Hanbala.

Mr. Al-Katiri was briefed by the committee's chairwoman on the ongoing preparations and the efforts exerted by the committee to inaugurate branch union, as well as the challenges and difficulties facing its work.

Al-Katiri lauded the role of the preparatory committee and its efforts to inaugurate the union in the capital, Aden, and elect its leadership, affirming the STC's interest, under the leadership of President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, in women and whatever would enhance women's status and empower them to participate in decision-making.

Al-Katiri also affirmed the STC's support for the South Women's Union and its support for the union's leadership, programs, activities, and plans aimed at restoring the pioneering role of women of the South in all aspects of life.
