President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), received today, Saturday, at the Al-Tawahi Presidential Palace, a number of sheikhs and dignitaries of Sa'ada Governorate.
President Al-Zubaidi welcomed the sheikhs and dignitaries of Sa'ada and listened attentively to their comprehensive briefing of the dire conditions in the governorate, the persistent human rights abuses, and ongoing violations perpetrated by the Houthi terrorist militia against the people of Sa'ada. They expressed their deep concern over the militia's relentless attempts to impose its extremist ideology on citizens at gunpoint and its efforts to transform the governorate into a hub for exporting radical Iranian theological thought to other Yemeni governorates and regional countries, seeking to alter their cultural and religious identities.
President Al-Zubaidi reaffirmed his unwavering support for genuine and sincere popular and tribal initiatives aimed at uniting the people of Sa'ada and other governorates still under the control of the Houthi terrorist militia to counter its arrogance and ongoing violations against citizens. Moreover, his excellency expressed his unwavering support for any efforts that would rid Yemen and the region of the scourge of this militia, whose harm has extended to pose a threat to the world both on land and at sea.
In a concise speech directed to the assembled tribal leaders and dignitaries of Sa'ada, President al-Zubaidi declared: "We stand with you, side by side, with all our might, until we liberate Sa'ada and enable you to return to your homes, living therein with dignity and honor, in a manner befitting your sacrifices.
President Al-Zubaidi further added, "The Houthi militia has today been designated as a terrorist group by the international community, and its project will undoubtedly come to an end with the world's unanimous consensus. Their current acts of terrorism and piracy in international shipping lanes serve as none other than the final nail in their coffin."
The President reiterated that the unified stance of the Sa'ada populace against the Houthi militia, coupled with their categorical rejection of its sectarian ideologies and agendas, will serve as a beacon of inspiration and courage for citizens of other regions to take the same direction and pave the way for the formation of a genuine resistance movement, ultimately leading to the liberation from the shackles of this militia and its pernicious ideology.
President Al-Zubaidi underscored the paramount importance of being well-prepared for the impending phase, regardless of whether it entails peace or war, pointing out that all prevailing indicators on the ground suggest that the Houthi terrorist militias will not uphold peace and will persist in their acts of terror and targeting of international maritime navigation in the Red Sea, Bab al-Mandab Strait, and the Gulf of Aden. Furthermore, they will continue to obstruct all endeavors and efforts exerted by regional and international partners to bring about peace in the country.
