STC Delegation Meets with Governor of Shabwa Governorate

Mr. Mohammed Al-Ghaithi led a delegation from the Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) of Brigadier General Ali Ahmed Al-Jabwani and Sheikh Abdulaziz Al-Jifri, who met on Saturday with Mr. Awad bin Al-Wazir, Governor of Shabwa Governorate.

Mr. Bin AAl-Wazir warmly welcomed the delegation of the STC's Presidium upon their arrival at the governorate’s main building, expressing his appreciation for the interest of President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, President of the STC and Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), in the overall situation in Shabwa and reviewing a range of important topics and issues, with a focus on the security situation and ways to strengthen it, the economic and service situation in the governorate, and the most prominent political developments on the national scene.

The governor of the governorate highlighted the importance of joint cooperation and coordination between the local authority and the STC to achieve security and stability in Shabwa and the need for concerted efforts to improve the service and living conditions of citizens.

In turn, the delegation of the Presidium conveyed to the governor the greetings of President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi and his confirmation of support for his efforts in strengthening security and stability in Shabwa Governorate.

The members of the Presidium praised the role of Governor Bin Al-Wazir in improving the situation in Shabwa, expressing their thanks and appreciation for the fruitful cooperation between the local authority and the STC, and affirming the council’s keenness to work with the local authority in Shabwa Governorate to maintain security and stability and improve services for citizens.

The meeting was attended by Major General Adel bin Ali Al-Musabi, Commander of the Ataq Axis, Commander of the 30th Infantry Brigade, Mr. Abdulaziz bin Laksar, Head of the Local Leadership Executive Body (LLEB) of the STC in Shabwa, Brigadier General Wajdi Baoum, Shabwa Defense Staff, Commander of the Second Brigade, leaders from the local authority, security, and military units, and a number of members of the LLEBs of the STC and social figures in the governorate.
