Al-Kathiri Chairs Expanded Meeting to Discuss Overall Situation with GFWUS and Representatives of Military and Security Bodies of the South

Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Chairman of the National Assembly, met today, Sunday, with Dr. Maryam Al-Doughani, the head of the Technical Team for Relief and International Cooperation (TTRIC), at the Office of the PLC.
In the meeting, which was attended by lawyer Niran Souqi, Vice Chairperson of the National Assembly, and Head of the Humanitarian Aid and Relief Commission (HARC) of the STC, Dr. Maryam gave a brief explanation of the work system of the TTRIC, and then many issues related to relief and humanitarian aid were discussed, in addition to unifying the assistance provided by organizations and benefiting from it so that it reaches all citizens as intended.
The meeting underscored the importance of activating the role of monitoring, following up, and evaluating the provided financial pledges, which are unfortunately wasted on projects that are not used in the evaluation process, indicating that the capital, Aden, and all governorates of the South should properly use such funds to build health centers and improve public services.
The meeting also stressed the need to arrange the home front in a way that enables employing the assistance provided to each governorate as per the top priorities.
During the meeting, Major General bin Brik lauded whatever forges ahead and asserted that the leadership of the STC encourages all ideas, proposals, and projects that would serve the public good and provide assistance according to available possibilities.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Anwar Hizam, a member of the HARC, and from the TTRIC side, Mr. Adeeb Bakhsh, Advisor for Institutional Development and Information Technology at the Office of the PLC, Dr. Buthaina Al-Saqqaf, Relief Department consultant, Dean of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, University of Lahej and Ms. Sana Mohammed, head of Al-Sana Foundation for Development.
