President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), and Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), met with the Director-General of the Roads and Bridges Maintenance Fund (RBMF) in Aden, Eng. Walid Al-Sarari, and the General Manager of Al-Tawahi District, Mr. Wagdi Alwan Al-Sha'abi.
At the meeting, which was attended by Mr. Zaher Omar, head of public works in Al-Tawahi District, the President listened to a brief explanation about progress in public works in Aden in general and Al-Tawahi District in particular, in addition to the efforts made in regulating markets, asphalting and paving roads, illaminating streets, and cleanliness.
The President pointed out that the efforts made by the public works in the capital, Aden, are clearly remarkable improvements in asphalting and paving roads, fixing and maintaining illuminating street poles, and organizing parking lots, which contributed not only to reducing traffic jams in main streets but also to smoothing traffic movement.
The President underscored intensifying efforts at the level of the capital, Aden in general, and Tawahi district in particular, and working to promote its development in various fields, as it is a major attractive tourist destination for the capital, Aden, and attracts an influx of visitors from all governorates and districts during holidays because of its various tourist facilities, activities and entertainment programs, accommodation options, well-established traditions, and heritage.
In turn, the Director General of RPMF in Aden, General Manager of Al-Tawahi District, and Head of Public Works Office in Al-Tawahi expressed their gratitude to President Al-Zubaidi for his full support of public works and local authorities in the capital, Aden, and its districts and his constant keenness to ease any difficulties that may hinder the work progress.
