President Al-Zubaidi Discusses with Ambassador of Denmark Roadmap Proposed to Boost Political Process 

President Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), received on Monday evening H.E. Lisalotte Plesner, the non-resident ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to Yemen.

The meeting discussed the humanitarian situation and the latest developments in the political process and in the country led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the supervision of the United Nations, to end the war and establish peace in the entire region.

President Al-Zubaidi reviewed the efforts and concessions made by the PLC to reach a comprehensive, just, and sustainable peace that establishes a secure and stable future both in our country and the entire region.

The meeting, too, touched on the results of the talks conducted by the Saudi and Omani delegations with the leadership of the Houthi militia in Sana'a and highlighted the challenges encountered in direct talks, in addition to the proposed roadmap to boost the political process, which is expected to start in the next few days, and the status of the cause of the people of the South. In this respect, President Al-Zubaidi underscored that the cause of the South should be settled in the comprehensive political process as a pivotal issue with a special framework agreed upon by all the parties involved in the PLC.

Furthermore, the President highly appreciated the humanitarian support provided by the Kingdom of Denmark to our country since the outbreak of the war, expressing his aspiration to enhance bilateral cooperation between our country and the Kingdom of Denmark in the sectors of maritime transport, port management, agriculture, and fishing.

For her part, the ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark renewed the support of her country's government for all endeavours aimed at ending the war and bringing peace to the country, expressing her aspiration to visit the capital, Aden, and closely see the situation there in the near future.

The meeting was attended by Ms. Asmaa Mishleh, responsible for the political department at the Danish Embassy, Mr. Imad Mohammad, office head of the Vice-Chairman of the PLC, and Mr. Saleh Al-Quaiti, advisor to the Vice-Chairman of the PLC.
