While Receiving Head and Leaders of the Council of Peaceful Movement

President Al-Zubaidi: "Verily, our doors and hearts are widely open to all; the South will only be with and for all its people."

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), reaffirmed the STC's openness to all national forces, based on entrusted responsibility and huge tasks to represent the people of the South and achieve triumph for their aspirations and right to restore their fully sovereign state.

It took place when President Al-Zubaidi received on Friday evening at his office a number of leaders of the Southern Peaceful Movement led by lawyer Ali Haitham Alghareeb, head of a component of the Peaceful Movement and former minister of justice.

At the meeting, they discussed the exerted efforts to strengthen the southern cohesiveness and to create a broad southern national lining up on the basis of a true partnership in assuming the responsibility to achieve the aspirations of the people of the South in restoring their state on its internationally recognized borders until May 21, 1990.

President Al-Zubaidi addressed the attendees by saying: "We have definitely a single goal and a single path; our doors and hearts are widely and warmly open to all, and the South will only be with and for all its people."

In turn, the head and leaders of the Peaceful Movement expressed their thanks for the devoted national efforts made by President Al-Zubaidi to strengthen the southern cohesiveness and his keenness to involve all national forces in the South to draw the features of the future southern state.

The meeting was attended by two members of the Presidium of the STC, Eng. Adnan Al-Kaf, and Mr. Salem Thabet Al-Awlaqi.
